“I see trying to inspire people as part of my job.” In this photo Paralympian Ben Rushgrove has just finished delivering an inspirational talk to a group of disabled people. The 22 year old’s speech about overcoming his disability to become an Olympic medallist will be a lasting legacy for the people living at Greenhill House, a lively residential centre in Bath.

Greenhill House provides a range of activities and support to 37 disabled people. Any Legacy - big or small - helps Leonard Cheshire Disability to run projects which enable disabled people to live more independently and make choices about the way they live their life. A legacy could help fund a kitchen suitable for wheelchair users, an accessible computer so that disabled people can communicate more easily with friends and family, or specialist golf equipment which allows disabled people to get putting.

Until we started to provide this support people had gone their whole lives without the necessary equipment. The link with APD has allowed us to access the best available advice and resources.
